Stanley Dunbar Embick (1877-1957) was born in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He graduated from West Point in 1899 and commissioned in the Coast Artillery Corps. From 1917 to 1918, he served as chief of staff of the American section on the Supreme War Council at Versailles, France. He then was a delegate to the Paris peace conference. William Durward Connor (1874-1960) was born in Beloit, Wisconsin. In 1897 he commissioned in the Army Corps of Engineers from West Point. In 1909 he graduated from the Army War College.
